MotoGP world champion Valentino Rossi remained tight-lipped about his future after completing his third testing session with Formula One team Ferrari. Rossi spent a day at the team's Fiorano testing facility before two days at the Mugello circuit, where he has previously competed as a bike racer.
"I already knew the track, even if it is very different sitting in the cockpit from being on a bike," he said.
"I was able to do around 600km. I have to say it was a great experience."
A Ferrari team spokesman said no further tests were planned this year.
Rossi, who recently won his fifth successive MotoGP world title, has one year left on his Yamaha contract and has yet to decide what to do after 2006.
His dominance of bike racing is similar to that enjoyed by seven-times world champion Michael Schumacher in F1 until Fernando Alonso's world title triumph this year.
The hugely popular Rossi is Italy's highest-paid sportsman and it is thought Ferrari view him as a possible replacement for Schumacher when the 36-year-old retires.
