Hornish led a Penske Racing one-two finish |
Penske Racing's Sam Hornish Jr took the Indy 200 at the Phoenix International Raceway in Arizona to claim a record 13th career win. But the result angered Scotland's Dario Franchitti, who felt the American blocked him on a restart.
Franchitti, driving a Dallara/Honda, almost crashed into the wall as a result before going on to take fourth.
Helio Castroneves and Tony Kanaan were second and third with Brits Dan Wheldon and Darren Manning sixth and eighth.
Franchitti, who led on 52 of the 200-lap race at the one-mile oval, was also unhappy with team-mate Wheldon.
Franchitti claimed the Englishman did not get out of his way as he attempted to pressurise Hornish, denying him a shot at victory.
