Nico Rosberg clinched the inaugural GP2 Series championship with a double victory in Bahrain. Team-mate Alex Premat made it an ART one-two in the first race and came home third in race two.
Pre-season favourite Heikki Kovalainen saw his title hopes disappear when he could only finish third in race one.
Rosberg has been linked with a move to F1 with Williams where his father won the world title. "Definitely, that's the next step," he said.
"I can't believe I'm actually talking about it like that.
"For sure I'll have a good chance for next year - at least a test driver, and maybe even a race drive.
"I'm still talking to Williams and BMW, but I think probably at Williams as a test driver for sure."
After clinching the title by winning the first race, Rosberg said: "This is an unbelievably happy moment for me. It's unreal.
"When you look at the list of names in the series you think 'this is going to be a difficult one to win'.
"It was a great season, and we were quick probably from the second race onwards - in Barcelona I had the fastest lap by a country mile - and we just progressively got faster and faster.
"To have had a difficult start and then come out on top at the end is just amazing."
