Britain's Dan Wheldon captured a record sixth Indy Racing League victory of the year when he triumphed in the Chicagoland Indy 300 on Sunday. Wheldon edged Helio Castroneves and Sam Hornish Jr. in a tight finish.
The win all but clinched the drivers' championship for Wheldon, who only needs to start the penultimate race of the season to claim the crown.
Wheldon said: "If I do everything I'm capable of, those situations will take care of themselves."
