Kenseth raced to the ninth victory of his career |
Defending Nascar champion Matt Kenseth enjoyed a comfortable victory in the Las Vegas 400 on Sunday. The Ford driver crossed the finish line 3.426 seconds ahead of Kasey Kahne, who started on pole, with Tony Stewart third in a Pontiac.
Kenseth, who won in Rockingham last week, moved in front on lap 95 and did not surrender the lead for the rest of the 267-lap race.
"It's a race driver's dream to win two in a row," said Kenseth.
"It's been the most fun two weeks of my life," he added.
"We have unbelievable equipment, man this was fun to drive!"
Kenseth leads the overall Nascar standings by 88 points ahead of Stewart while Elliot Sadler is third.
The next round will take place on 14 March in Atlanta.
