Signs of improvement
In the latest of his BBC Sport Online Tour de France diaries, David Millar reveals he is finally starting to feel OK after his prologue time trial crash but is still planning to take it easy.

Woke up this morning and I still felt out of it. My body just wasn't responding.

All I could do was try to prepare myself as best as possible. I wasn't looking forward to the day ahead.

There were about three crashes near me but luckily I was not involved in any of them

Antwerp was packed this morning. I signed in and bumped into James who manages my website.

He told me just to take it easy and hang back to make it to the end of the stage.

The first 100km of the race... what can I say - carnage, crosswinds, Belgians, madness.

The peloton was all over the place and the crowds all over the roads.

There were about three crashes near me but luckily I was not involved with any of them.

Improvement

Later on in the race I started to feel slightly better than the last couple of days.

It felt like my body was actually starting to work again even though my leg is still killing me.

I felt OK on the three climbs at the end but didn't want to push myself so I rode in gently taking it easy.

Apparently it was commented on Eurosport I have bruised testicles
David Millar

I didn't see the point in going with the lead group when I still wasn't 100%.

My plan for Wednesday is just to take it easy again and drop off at the end so as not to push it too hard.

I'm not going to be able to do much until my leg is working properly.

Not much else happening really.

I did hear a weird thing this afternoon though - apparently it was commented on Eurosport that I have bruised testicles.

I just wanted to say that I don't. OK!
