| MacArthur's diary The competitors have more than 1,000 miles to go In her latest email to BBC Sport Online, Ellen MacArthur shares the joys of life at sea on day six of the Challenge Mondial. Hi guys, We've seen whales and dolphins and a fantastic turtle pass between our hulls in a very confused way. The whales were almost a little too close for comfort perhaps! We solved our main problem and we now have a main sail with which we can hoist fully. It was only 1st reef for the whole of last night. We're glad of a little drier weather to dry out our gear and oilskins. It's been fairly moist over the past few days, and everyone has now put on their share of dry clothes. Fantastic. Stuck with light winds again, so better go up top to help. Until tomorrow, |
