| Harold comeback stuns Parrott Harold rated the win as the best of his career Dave Harold staged a spectacular comeback to defeat John Parrott on a re-spotted black in the Benson and Hedges Masters at Wembley. Harold looked dead and buried at 5-1 down but clawed his way back to 5-5. And the final frame was even more exciting when they tied 56 each. The black was re-spotted and Harold, who won the Asian Open in 1993 as a 500-1 outsider, kept his composure for a memorable victory. Parrott could hardly believe it and sneaked away as a jubilant Harold punched the air. Best win After the match, Harold said: "I was dead and buried but stuck in there. "I kept coming back and the longer it went on I knew it was going to go down to the wire. "You couldn't script a match like this. "It's one of the best wins of my career." Harold now faces Ken Doherty or Fergal O'Brien in Saturday's semi-final. |
