White defects to TSN
Jimmy White
White wants to play with the 'best'
Jimmy White has become the latest player to join The Sportsmasters Network's world tour.

The six-times Embassy World Championship runner-up will join top names, Stephen Hendry, Mark Williams, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Ken Doherty, Stephen Lee, Marco Fu, in next season's world tour which is set to start in September.

The TSN tour is set to be major threat to the current setup, with many from World Snooker believing that there will be a divide like the one seen in darts.

"I want to play the best players in the game, and the best have already committed themselves to the TSN world tour," said White.

TSN delight

"I have had the opportunity to see both the WSA's and TSN's presentations and, of the two, I have no doubt that TSN's plan and vision for the future will serve the game of snooker best at all levels."

TSN's managing director Gerry Sinclair believes that it is a coup for his organisation to have signed White.

"I am delighted at the decision of the 'People's Champion' to join TSN's world tour," he said.

"Fans and viewing public deserve to see the world's best players playing on a world-wide stage, and now that another snooker great like Jimmy White has signed, only TSN can deliver that."

White reached the quarter-finals of the Benson and Hedges Masters by beating Ronnie O'Sullivan 6-2 on Tuesday.
