Finch and Denmark's Soren Kjeldsen shot course records |
Hull golfer Richard Finch said he was delighted to shoot a course-record round of 63 on the final day of the Volvo Golf Champions event in Bahrain. The 33-year-old carded a nine under round to finish 20th on 12 under, eight shots behind winner Paul Casey. Finch told BBC Radio Humberside: "I'm delighted. I scored a lot better today after three days where I felt I played well without much reward. "I eagled the ninth to do the front half in 29, which is a first for me." He added: "It's been alright this week but I've just not been leaving myself enough 15ft putts for birdies." Denmark's Soren Kjeldsen matched Finch's round in still conditions at the beginning of the day. Casey finished a shot clear of Spain's Miguel Angel Jimenez and Sweden's Peter Hanson.
