Paul Cutler is the only Ulster player in the Walker Cup squad

Portstewart golfer Paul Cutler won the East of Ireland Amateur Championship at Baltray on Monday, beating fellow Ulster player Luke Lennox by two shots.

The 20-year-old carded a final round 71 to finish with a four-round total of 284 and he next plays in the Irish Amateur Close championship from 6 June.

Cutler has been named in the Great Britain and Ireland panel from which the Walker Cup team will be selected.

The match will be played in September in Pennsylvania.
