Casey last won two years ago |
Paul Casey is in a commanding position going into the final round of the Abu Dhabi Championship. Casey, the winner in 2007, moved to 19 under par after a nine-under round of 63, one shot off the course record and four clear of Martin Kaymer. Graeme Storm is a further shot behind in third, ahead of Anthony Wall and Sweden's Johan Edfors and Peter Hanson. Casey has had a two-year win drought since his victory here two years ago, but has managed 15 top-10 finishes. Having begun the day in joint third place, Casey's round got off to a perfect start with birdies at the opening two holes. He picked up further strokes on the seventh and long eighth to reach the turn in 32. A wayward tee shot at the 10th caused him trouble, but he holed out from 40 feet to secure a birdie and took complete control with further birdies at the 12th, 13th and 17th.
