 Wood is preparing for the second stage of European Tour qualifying |
Bristol golfer Chris Wood will be hoping to continue his impressive year at the British Masters at the Belfry between 25 and 29 September. The 21-year-old, who finished fifth at The Open as an amateur, tees off with Alastair Forsyth and Rory McIlroy. Wood topped the leaderboard at the first phase of the European Tour Qualifying School. He shot a 17-under-par total of 271 at the Oxfordshire to share the lead with Jonathan Caldwell from Ireland. The second stage of the qualifying school is in Spain from 5 to 8 November. The final stage is at PGA Golf de Catalunya in Spain from 13 to 18 November.
