Drummond recorded a good score despite rain making play difficult
Ross Drummond was delighted with his performance after posting a one under par 71 in the first round of the PGA Seniors Championship at Slaley Hall.
Heavy rain over the past fortnight rendered the course difficult, but Drummond still impressed.
The Scot told BBC Radio Newcastle: "I was happy with that, the course obviously is playing very long because of all the rain we've had lately.
"The PGA have moved a lot of tees up so it's shortened it a bit for us."
"It's definitely playable and the greens are very nice.
"I got off to a pretty slow start, bogeying the second and third, nothing really happened for me going out at all. But then the back nine I started rolling the putts a bit better."
