Lincolnshire golfer Paul Streeter believes he is in a good position to make the half-way cut in the European Open at the London Golf Club in Kent.

Streeter's first round 73 leaves him on one over par, ten strokes off the lead.

He told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "I didn't play my best golf but I got around in a respectable score.

"At least I don't have to shoot a really low round on Friday. As long as I'm under par I'll be all right, and that's well within my capabilities."

Streeter is scheduled to tee off in his second round at 1220 BST.
