Ian Woosnam is heading for back-to-back titles

Welshman Ian Woosnam missed out on claiming the Ryder Cup Wales Seniors Open by two shots to Englishman Peter Mitchell, from Kent.

Woosnam fired a one-over par 73 on the final day in Conwy where he started as joint leader.

He shot four bogies and three birdies as he chased Mitchell's one-under par.

"I felt I played pretty decent at times throughout the week and that's good, and if I can keep doing that I'm going to win again," said Woosnam.

America's Jerry Bruner finished the tournament third at two-over with five tied on three-over.
