Imada lost to Zach Johnson in last year's Atlanta Classic play-off

Japan's Ryuji Imada claimed his maiden PGA Tour title with a play-off victory over Kenny Perry in the AT&T Classic.

Imada shot a five-under-par 67 in the final at TPC Sugarloaf in Georgia as both players finished on 15 under.

They returned to the 18th hole to decide the title, but Perry found the water and the 31-year-old Imada played safe for a par five and victory.

Five birdies in his last seven holes gave Colombian Camilo Villegas third spot on 14 under.

Jonathan Byrd was 13 under, while three players finished on 12 under, including Parker McLachlin.

McLachlin had led halfway through the final round but bogeys on 14, 16 and 18 cost him a place in the play-offs.

Americans James Driscoll and Justin Bolli also finished on 12 under.

Imada came close to winning last year's Atlanta tournament but lost in a play-off to Zach Johnson after he too hit the water on the 18th.
