Tiger Woods is poised for a seventh successive victory after charging into a tie for the lead at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.

Seven shots adrift of Vijay Singh at the start of the day, Woods sunk six birdies to proouce a four-under-par 66.

Singh's lead evaporated as Sean O'Hair, Bart Bryant and Bubba Wilson all joined the Fijian and Woods on six under.

Briton Lee Westwood dropped to four under, while fellow countryman Brian Davis was a further shot behind.

Woods, who has won on his last four starts on the PGA Tour, the Dubai Desert Classic in Europe and his own unofficial Target World Challenge, was delighted to completely wipe out Singh's overnight lead.

"I was on the periphery there, but now I'm right back in the mix," said Woods, who is also hunting his ninth win in 10 tournaments.

Singh dropped five strokes in four holes on the front nine and was duly punished.

O'Hair hit the lowest round of the tournament so far with a seven-under-par 63, while Bryant and Watson both carded rounds of 68.
