Briton Laura Davies missed the cut at the ADT Championship after stumbling in the latter stages of the second round.
Davies made a brave bid to recover from her opening-round 79 but a 73 for eight-over par was five shots too many.
She made five birdies in the first 14 holes and eagled the 15th, only to hit a double-bogey at the 16th and then drop another shot at the short 17th.
But Scotland's Catriona Matthew made it safely through to the weekend with a second-round 75 on a windy day.
Matthew made sure of her place thanks to four birdies, which helped make up
for three bogeys and double-bogeys at the 7th and 16th.
Tied for 11th place on level-par 144, Matthew was one of 16 qualifiers from the 32-strong field that survived the cut.
South Korea's Mi Jyun Kim shot 70 and was at the top of the field on seven-under par, a shot better than Americans Christina Kim, who had a 71, and Morgan
Pressel, who shot a best-of-the-day 65.
Mexico's world number one Lorena Ochoa made it through comfortably in joint
fourth place on four-under par after a second successive 70.
The 36-hole scores are now erased for Saturday's third round and only the top
eight will go forward to the final 18 holes on Sunday, with the winner claiming a 487,000 prize.
