Becky Brewerton is heading for America |
Wales' Becky Brewerton is set to switch from the Ladies European Tour to play in America at the end of next season. The 24-year-old from north Wales became the first Welsh golfer to play in last week's European Solheim Cup team.
But now she is ready to take the next step and join the Ladies Professional Golf Association, after turning down the chance this year.
"At the end of next season, there's no doubt I will go over to the LGPA," Brewerton told BBC Sport Wales.
"I was incredibly tempted to go over this year, but there was so much stuff happening and so many distractions with the Solheim Cup, it didn't feel right.

"I actually don't think I would have been mentally right at this time but I think another year in Europe will help."
Brewerton played twice in the Solheim Cup foursomes with Laura Davies, winning one and losing one as Europe carried a lead into the final-day singles.
She led much of her game with Sherri Steinhauer, but a mistake on the 18th meant she halved the match as the USA won by 16 points to 12.
"I have learnt a lot about my game this week and I know what I've got to work on," said Brewerton.

"I just need to get a little bit more consistency, work a little bit more around the greens again and improve that this winter and hopefully kick on again next year.
"This year on the LET has been fantastic. They've really done a great job of the events this year. It certainly makes it more difficult to leave."
