The Ladies European Tour has set up an anti-doping policy, to be implemented in time for the 2008 season. Advice cards were launched on Wednesday to provide players with information about anti-doping procedures.
Alexandra Armas, executive director of the LET, said: "We are not aware that
any of our members have used drugs.
"But it is vital for the integrity of our sport that we implement this strategy in order to eliminate
any temptation that may exist."
The LET aims to create an effective and recognisable testing policy testing methods are yet to be agreed with golf organisations and national agencies.
The men's European Tour and LPGA are aiming to start drug testing in 2008, with the PGA looking to announce a similar policy at the end of this year after agreeing on a list of banned substances.
The LET's policy will be managed by Sporting Integrity, a company run by Michele Verroken -
former director of anti-doping at UK Sport.
