Amateur Ramsay misses Masters cut
Richie Ramsay
Ramsay came home in 43 to miss the cut by four strokes
Scotland's Richie Ramsay suffered a late collapse and failed to become the first British amateur to make the Masters cut since Peter McEvoy in 1978.

The Aberdeen golfer, who became the first Briton to win the US Amateur since 1911, carded 80 for 12 over to miss the weekend by four shots.

Ramsay, 23, was going well at five over with nine holes left, playing with defending champion Phil Mickelson.

But he came home in 43 after five bogeys and a double on the 12th.

Ramsay finished two behind American John Kelly, the player he beat in last August's US Amateur final at Hazeltine.
