England's Oliver Wilson is just one shot off the lead going into the final day of the Johnnie Walker Classic after carding a third-round 70 in Phuket.
He lost his overnight lead after dropping a shot at the 17th while South African Richard Sterne heads the field on 13 under after a second straight 64.
Anton Haig is a further shot back while Retief Goosen is eight under after a posting a disappointing 72.
Colin Montgomerie is six shots back on seven under, one ahead of Ernie Els.
Wilson, who led on 10 under after a second-round 66, moved to 13 under after six holes.
But after 10 straight pars, he then slipped to 12 under after a bogey four at the 17th.
The 26-year-old, who is chasing his first tournament victory, said: "I really struggled on the back nine with my concentration.
"I hit some good shots, but I was really, really struggling to keep concentration. I just
couldn't see a shot going into 17."
Sterne started the event with a three-over 75 and was expected to miss the cut but his two flawless 64s has catapulted him into the lead.
"I've come off two good tournaments in South Africa. I won one and finished second there, so my confidence was high," he said.
"On Thursday things just didn't go my way. The last two days, they have. No bogeys and 16 birdies, it just sorted of ended up nicely.
"I think my score is pretty much the lowest I have had in professional golf."
Goosen had a mixed day and struggled for consistency throughout his round.
He opened up with three birdies in his first four holes but then fired three straight bogeys.
The South African then had three birdies and three bogeys, including one at the last, in his closing 10 holes.
Montgomerie carded a second successive 70 and although he ended with three birdies in his last four holes, a double bogey six at the 16th kept him out of the top four.
