Monty said he would love to captain Europe in the Ryder Cup |
Scotland's Colin Montgomerie has revealed he would like to captain Europe's Ryder Cup side in 2010 and four years later in his home country. Montgomerie, 43, said Nick Faldo was a good choice of captain for the 2008 Ryder Cup against the US in Kentucky.
"Nick will be excellent. He's got more points in Ryder Cup history than anybody else," said the Scot.
"Hopefully I'll be in his team and (be) the next captain in Wales in 2010," Montgomerie added.

"Then hopefully I'll be captain of the team some more, whenever that might be. Gleneagles (2014) might be quite good," he said.
Montgomerie, who will compete in this week's Dubai Desert Classic, has never won a major - but said he was not worried by the statistic.
"I don't fear myself not winning a major," he said.
"I start again at the US Masters at Augusta in April and will have a good go.
"I'm a course record holder at Carnoustie so that's not a bad start," said Montgomerie referring to the venue for July's British Open.
Europe clinched their third successive Ryder Cup victory last September at the K Club in Ireland.
Montgomerie is unbeaten in the singles in eight cup appearances.
