Joe Durant ended a five-year title drought in winning the Disney Classic in Florida with a final round of 65.
Durant finished on a score of 25 under, four shots clear of overnight leader Troy Matteson and Frank Lickliter II, who shot a superb final round of 62.
Britain's Justin Rose, who led for the first two rounds, had to settle for fourth after shooting a 69 to finish a shot further back.
Rose is still looking for his maiden win in the United States.
The 26-year-old Englishman finished one shot ahead of world number five Vijay Singh, the 2003 Disney champion, who made a final-round charge with a 64.
Durant, 42, had started the final round one shot behind rookie Matteson, who won his first title last week in Las Vegas.
But seven birdies saw him overhaul Matteson to clinch the $828,000 first prize, the biggest win of his career, and his fourth PGA Tour title.
Durant said: "This is one of the biggest tournaments for me to win because this is such a family event, and my family has been the backbone of me and my career, and we always dreamed about staying on 18 with Mickey."
