 McDowell struggled in the final round at Winged Foot |
Graeme McDowell and Darren Clarke both finished well down the field after Sunday's final round of the US Open at Winged Foot. Portrush player McDowell slipped to tied 48th after a nine-over-par 79 left him 17 over while Dungannon's Clarke was 18 over in 56th following a 74. Dubliner Padraig Harrington shared the lead at one stage but had to settle for fifth after a 71 left him seven over. Australian Geoff Ogilvy won by one shot on five over.
