Annika Sorenstam proved she should never be discounted as she came from three shots behind to lead the Florida's Natural Charity Championship. After a severe delay on day three because of heavy rain, the defending champion fired a third round score of 64 to move to 17 under in Georgia.
Overnight leader Sung Ah Yim of South Korea was one shot back in second.
A group of five others were four shots behind on 12 under but Britons Catriona Matthew and Becky Morgan fell back.
Scotland's Matthew fell away from the top 10 after a disappointing 76 to lie on two under.
Morgan was one shot higher up the leaderboard after carding a 74.
"I had been playing really well the first two rounds without holing anything, and my patience paid off," said Sorenstam.
"It is not quite like last year when I led by 10 going into the final day, but I am looking forward to it."
