Stupples believes she is back in the comfort zone for the Nabisco |
England's Karen Stupples wants success in the first women's major of 2006, the Kraft Nabisco Championship, to set out her stall for the rest of the season. The 2004 British Open champion is targeting a second major title at the California event, starting on Thursday.
"My goal this year is to be consistent and I want to be inside the top 30 every week," said the Kent-born golfer.
"Obviously, I'd love to win again, and if you are in contention every week then hopefully it will happen."
Stupples suffered a shaky 2005 season, but added: "I had a great off-season and opened this year with a fourth-place finish on the US Tour.

"Last year, I had a few club problems and that rocked my confidence. But this is my fourth year here and I feel relaxed and very happy with my game. Catriona Matthew, at number 15 and five places higher than Stupples, is the leading Briton on Tour this season and has had three top-10 finishes in the Nabisco.
"I feel my game is in great shape," said the player who was fourth in the Safeway International two weeks ago.
"I've got better every tournament this year so if that keeps happening then I should have a great chance on Sunday."
Laura Davies - who has not made a cut all year on the LPGA circuit - Trish Johnson, Becky Morgan, Janice Moodie and England's Johanna Head - who is making her debut - are the other British players in the field at Missions Hills.
World number one Annika Sorenstam heads to California as defending champion and favourite, while the list of challengers include three top American teenagers in Michelle Wie, Paula Creamer and Morgan Pressel.
