Warrenpoint player Jim Carvill won the East of Ireland title after a final round scare at Baltray on Sunday. The former professional held a nine shot lead going into the final day but that was reduced to one by North West's Michael McGeady.
McGeady went out in four under for the first nine while Carvill bogeyed the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th.
However, Carvill responded by playing the last five holes in two under to secure a three shot success.
