Michael Campbell dropped four shots in the final four holes but actually stretched his lead after the second round of the Target World Challenge.

Campbell now leads by three shots from Darren Clarke (73) and Padraig Harrington (70).

Luke Donald and David Howell are five off the pace after 68s, while Tiger Woods is nine back after his second 72.

"I was just cruising along there," said Campbell. "I got too ahead of myself and it cost me a few shots."

Campbell double-bogeyed the 18th on his way to a two-round total of 135, while Harrington and Clarke both bogeyed the 18th.

Kenny Perry looked as though he might close the gap on Campbell but bogeyed the par-five 16th and then had a double bogey on the final hole for a 70.

He is four shots off the pace on 139 with Fred Couples, who had a bogey-free 68.

Tournament host Woods had a double bogey at the par-five 11th and is just two shots ahead of Colin Montgomerie (70), who is bringing up the rear in the 16-man field.

"I just had a hard time finding my lines, a hard time seeing the putts, seeing the lines, feeling the breaks," said Woods.

"I'm having a hard time feeling the slopes in my feet, in my hands, my body - I'm just having a hard time with it."
