Tiger Woods was in unrelenting mood as he romped to a seven-shot victory at the PGA Grand Slam of Golf in Hawaii. The 29-year-old Open and Masters winner extended his three-shot halfway lead to trounce Phil Mickelson, Michael Campbell and Vijay Singh in Kauai.
USPGA champion Mickelson was a distant second after rounds of 70 and 68, while US Open hero Campbell was another five shots back after a 70 on Wednesday.
Fiji's Singh carded 75, 69 to trail in another shot adrift.
Woods has now won this event for the year's four major winners six times in seven appearances, having previously won in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002.
"I feel comfortable on this golf course," said Woods, a 10-time major champion. "Most of the holes really suit me.
"I've always enjoyed playing Poipu and coming to Kauai. I know there has been talk of moving the tournament but I hope it stays here and I hope I keep
qualifying."
Mickelson, who fired 59 in the last round to win last year, stayed in touch with three birdies in his first eight holes.
