Annika Sorenstam remains on course to become the first player to successfully win a tournament five straight times after two rounds of the Mizuno Classic. The world number one went into day two one stroke behind South Korea's Young Kim and the pair both carded 67s in the second round at the Seta Golf Course.
Sorenstam birdied the last two holes to move to 13 under, one stroke behind Kim who had eight birdies and three bogeys.
The Swede already has eight titles under her belt this season.
"It was a good experience playing with Annika," said
Kim.
"I felt comfortable out there today [Friday]. I'll just try my best every shot and hope to do well."
Sorenstam said: "She'll be hungry tomorrow and just might pull it off, but I'm hungry too."
