Ballesteros eyes Spanish comeback | Seve at Augusta in 2003, he, Player and Nicklaus were all 18-over | Spanish legend Seve Ballesteros plans to return to action at the Spanish Open on 14 April, following a 17-month absence because of injury problems. The former Open and Masters champion, who will be 48 next week, feared his career was over last summer when he was diagnosed with an arthritic back. Now he has targeted The Open in July, which would be his first appearance at the Championship since 2001. His last competitive event was at the Seve Trophy match in November 2003.
