Thailand's Thaworn Wiratchant maintained his one-shot lead in the rain-affected third round of the Indonesian Open.

Wiratchant completed nine holes of his round before play was suspended to stay clear of a group of four players, including compatriot Thongchai Jaidee.

Colin Montgomerie is well adrift of the leaders on six under with four to play.

Montgomerie, who only survived the cut with a stroke to spare, managed three birdies and a bogey on Saturday.

Montgomerie was right on the cut mark with five holes to play when a storm brought an early end to Friday's play.

A bogey on the 18th gave the 41-year-old a round of 69 and ended his hopes of securing the win he needs to climb back into the world's top 50 and qualify for next month's Masters.

Frankie Minoza of the Philippines, who also shares second place, was on target for the first-ever sub-60 round on the European Tour after a stunning start to his third round.

Minoza got to the turn in just 29 after five birdies and an eagle at the par-five ninth.

He added two more birdies at the 10th and 11th and he needed just two more in his last seven holes to shoot a magical 59.

But a bogey on the 13th halted his charge and a par on the next left him needing birdies at three of the last four holes when the third round resumes on Sunday.

Wirachant found the going tough before play was suspended, managing just one birdie and eight pars.

Jaidee, seeking a second win of the year after successfully defending his Malaysian Open title last month, had picked up six birdies in 11 holes to move into a share of second place.

Northern Ireland's Michael Hoey is on 10 under midway through his third round - in joint 15th place five behind leader Wiratchant.
