Mexico's Lorena Ochoa carded a one-under-par 71 to take a one-stroke lead into the final round of the Safeway International. Playing partner Soo-Yun Kang of Korea was second after a 70, and defending
champion Annika Sorenstam was four strokes back at nine under after a 72. Rookie Brittany Linicome shot a 66 to join Juli Inkster (69) at eight under. British Open champion Karen Stupples is nine shots off the pace after shooting a third-round 74.
