Defending champion Annika Sorenstam carded a four-under par 67 to grab a one-stroke lead in the second round of the LPGA John Q Hammons Hotel Classic. The world number one from Sweden fired six birdies but endured twp bogeys to finish at seven-under par 135. Overnight leader Maria Hjorth of Sweden hit 72 to fall back into second with Australian Michelle Ellis - two ahead of France's Karine Icher. Britain's Laura Davies is fifth on 140 with Leta Lindley and Paula Creamer.
