Scott was in devastating form |
Adam Scott surged to a seven-shot win at the Singapore Open, holding off a strong challenge from Lee Westwood. Westwood, who went out in 32, pulled to within four shots of Scott with a birdie at the 10th but a two-stroke swing two holes later ended his hopes.
The Englishman ended on six under after a 68 with Scott's 65 sealing a comfortable victory for the Australian.
"I couldn't imagine anyone getting to 13 under and for me to be six under, I am quite pleased," said Westwood.
"Adam played great and finished off strong this morning. It was nice to be there or thereabouts."
Australia's Andrew Buckle was third on five under, South Korea's Ted Oh finished two shots further adrift in fourth, one stroke ahead of Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee.
The event, returning after a three-year break, is the richest Open on the Asian Tour and only five players ended the tournament with under-par totals.
