Vijay Singh became the first player to win over $10m in a PGA Tour season as he claimed his ninth title of the year at the Chrysler Championship. The world number one shot a six-under-par 65 to maintain his awesome recent form, not finishing worse than second in his last five tournaments.
The Fijian finished on 18 under par, five shots clear of Sweden's Jesper Parnevik and Tommy Armour III.
Singh eclipsed Tiger Woods' superb 2000 season when the American banked $9.19m.
Victory at next week's end of season Tour Championship would see Singh become the first player since 1950 to win 10 titles in a year.
And Singh admitted he was yet to take in his achievements this year.
"I'm not one for stats, not one to keep records," Singh said.

"I just feel it's been an incredible year for me. These wins, I just haven't really sat down and really thought about it, what I've done.
"I have not enjoyed it yet.
"No matter how hard I try, it might be almost an impossible thing to do again. You never know, we'll try again next year and see what happens."
Heading into the Chrysler Championship, Singh had already pocketed $9.83m and only needed to finish sixth or better to pass the $10m barrier.
