South Korea's Hee-Won Han edged out Canadian Lorie Kane in a sudden-death play-off to win the Safeway Classic. Han shot a 67 to finish on nine under, a score matched by Kane with her 70, but Han then birdied the first play-off hole to clinch victory in Portland.
Scot Janice Moodie was in the hunt all day until a double-bogey six at the final hole saw her drop to seventh.
Sweden's Annika Sorenstam, winner for the past two years, shot a 70 and had to settle for joint-fourth.
The 31-year-old Moodie described her last hole as "really unfortunate".
She said: "Play was really slow towards the end and I hit my one bad tee shot of the day into trees."
But she added: "Overall, there were a lot of good things to take out of the week."
British Open champion Karen Stupples set out in the top 10 but shot 73 and had to settle for a tie for 20th on two under.
