Woods' woes continue
Tiger Woods
Tiger Woods endured another trying day at Whistling Straits as he carded a 73 to finish well down the USPGA field.

Starting nine shots off the lead on Sunday, the 28-year-old American made a poor start when he bogeyed two of his first four holes.

Woods birdied the sixth but from there could only mix birdies and bogeys to remain on two under for the tournament.

Without a major since the 2002 US Open, Woods' only consolation was seeing Ernie Els fail to take his top ranking.

"It's frustrating because I didn't win, simple as that," said Woods, who won this event in 1999 and 2000.

"I was playing so well coming into this tournament, it's unfortunate that I didn't continue that way.

My speed and my line was off, that's not a good combo
Tiger Woods
"I played decently on Thursday but I putted atrociously and that put me behind the eight-ball.

"There was a lot of room that I had to make up and I just didn't quite get it all back.

"I just did not putt well this week. Look at the stats. I feel like I had about 200 putts this week.

"My speed and my line was off, that's not a good combo."
