Britain's Laura Davies held on to her lead despite a five-over-par 77 in the rain-delayed third round of the Women's Australian Open in Sydney. Davies reached three under to lead by two shots from Australia's Rachel Teske, whose 71 was one of just three sub-par rounds.
"It was a miserable day," said Davies, who spent 90 minutes in the clubhouse during the weather delay at Concord GC.
"But two shots is still good. I really only felt I hit a couple of bad shots."
She added: "But the rain made the course play very long. I couldn't get up at some of the par-fives."
Two strokes further back on one over was Italian Sophie Sandolo with Germany's Martina Eberl and Australian Nadina Taylor on two over.
England's Trish Johnson tripped up with a triple-bogey seven at the last for a 77 and five-over-par. She was the only other Briton in the top 10.
