Sorenstam takes ANZ control
RD3 LEADERBOARD

-10 Anne-Marie Knight (Aus)
-7 Grace Lee (Kor), Jennifer Rosales (Phi)
World number one Annika Sorenstam moved into a one-shot lead on day three of the ANZ Ladies Masters.

The Swede had started the day three strokes off halfway leader Karen Stupples from England.

But Sorenstam produced a stunning six birdies from her first nine holes before eventually carding a seven-under-par 65.

Stupples moved to one stroke behind Sorenstam after a round of 70 at Royal Pines on Australia's Gold Coast.

"I'm very pleased with the front nine, I made some great drives and putts," said Sorenstam.

"The bogey on 18 leaves me some room for improvement. Some of the rust is gone but probably not all of it."

Australian favourite Anne-Marie Knight leads the home charge and lies two shots off Sorenstam's total following her round of 69.

South Korea's Grace and Jennifer Rosales, from the Philippines, are three strokes further back, while four-time champion Karrie Webb is tied for ninth.
