The Fijian finished on 16 under for the tournament to claim his 16th PGA Tour victory.

"It was a great win," Singh said. "I was a little shaky at the start. I wasn't feeling comfortable with my golf swing, but I recovered really great."

Jeff Maggert also closed with a 69 to take second while Phil Mickelson also shot 69 to finish third.

Arron Oberholser could only finish fourth after starting the last day at the top of the leaderboard with Singh.

Mike Weir and KJ Choi shared fourth place with Oberholser.

British duo Phillip Price and Luke Donald also struggled on day four, slipping back from joint third overnight to a share of 17th after rounds of 77 left them on five under.

Singh, who earned $954,000 for his 16th career victory, is firmly entrenched at number two in the world rankings behind Tiger Woods.

"I'm playing pretty good," he said. "I'm more concerned with how I'm playing week in and week out.

"I want to be number one before I finish. But it's a hard feat to take Tiger off the top."

Singh has now recorded 12 consecutive finishes in the top 10 since the NEC Invitational in August.

He is two away from the modern-day record set by Jack Nicklaus in 1977.
