Vijay Singh fired a four-under-par 68 to move into a tie for the lead with Arron Oberholser after three rounds of the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.

Singh bogeyed his first two holes and had another bogey at nine, offsetting two birdies on the front nine.

But he recovered with five birdies in six holes to finish on a 13-under total of 203 at Spyglass Hill.

Singh and Oberholser have a three-shot lead over Jeff Maggert, England's Luke Donald and Welshman Phillip Price.

Singh said: "I always enjoy the scenery here, the golf course is great and you cannot ask for a better place to play golf and win a golf tournament.

"I would love to do it if I could tomorrow."

Singh already has 11 consecutive top-10 finishes, three off the modern-day record set by Jack Nicklaus in 1977.

Phil Mickelson, who played the first three rounds with Singh, had a three-shot lead over the big Fijian at the turn but lost seven shots to him on the back nine.
