Nicholas catches Gustafson
England's Alison Nicholas joined Sophie Gusafson as joint leader
England's Alison Nicholas shot a third round 67 at Warrenpoint
England's Alison Nicholas joined Sweden's Sophie Gustafson at the top of the leaderboard going into Sunday's final round of the BT Ladies Open title at Warrenpoint in Co Down.

The 41-year-old veteran produced vintage form in blazing sunshine to return a five-under-par 67.

Nicholas hit all 18 greens in regulation to reach 13 under par for 54 holes to tie with the in-form Swede who had held the lead at the halfway stage.

Gustafson, winner of last week's HP Open in Stockholm, had six birdies and a double bogey in her 68 to keep on track for back-to-back victories and a second Irish title of the year after winning in Killarney in June.

Denmark's Iben Tinning matched Nicholas's best-of-the-day 67 to close the gap to three shots with New Zealander Lynnette Brooky, a further shot behind.
