Steve Munn has turned down the opportunity to be the next Sheffield Steelers coach. The 32-year-old was offered the position of player/coach by owner Bob Phillips, but rejected it on Thursday. Munn told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I'd hate for my first head coaching job to be over in 48 hours. "There's too many question marks. I just hope that something happens quickly and something changes dramatically," he added. The defenseman re-joined the Steelers in March having spent last season with Asia League side Tohoku Free Blades.
