Cricket and rugby league starts changed

England players celebrate scoring against Slovenia
England reached the World Cup second round by beating Slovenia 1-0

England's World Cup second-round game with Germany has led to big changes to Sunday's domestic sporting schedule.

Five county cricket games and two Super League rugby league matches have been rescheduled to avoid clashing with the England game, which starts at 1500 BST.

Nottinghamshire, Hampshire, Yorkshire, Gloucestershire and Sussex have all moved the time of their FP t20 matches.

The game will not be shown at England's one-day international with Australia at Old Trafford for safety reasons.

With a sell-out crowd of 22,500 expected at the Manchester venue, hosts Lancashire decided against erecting a big screen showing the football, following talks with the local authorities.

However, spectators who leave the ground to watch the football at a nearby pub will be permitted to re-enter if they have their tickets scanned electronically on the way out.
