Kuhn expects a tough test from Togo |
Switzerland coach Kobi Kuhn believes his side are now in a strong position to qualify for the knock-out stages. He said: "The 2-0 victory over Togo gives us more hope because we don't absolutely have to win our next match (against South Korea on Friday).
"The players knew that in the last minutes we needed to do everything to score another.
"It wasn't easy against Togo. They had two very strong strikers and a midfield they pulled back."
Switzerland's victory put them top of Group G and eliminated World Cup debutants Togo.
A win against South Korea in their final match on Friday will ensure their qualification to the second round.
Alexander Frei, scorer of the first goal, was relieved to overcome the strong challenge of the Africans.
He said: "Our coach told us at half-time that we had to score a second and we did. The 2-0 victory is ideal.
"There are no easy teams. Togo were strong opponents, they have good players."
