South Korea manager Dick Advocaat was relieved to have rescued a point after his side's 1-1 draw against France. Park Ji-sung's 82nd-minute equaliser in Leipzig leaves South Korea at the top of Group G on four points, one step closer to qualifying for the last 16.
"Just like against Togo we came from 1-0 down and this time we were able to get a draw against a great France team," said Dutchman Advocaat.
"We improved as the game went on and scored one of the few chances we had."
Goalscorer Park added: "I'm not satisfied with myself but I'm satisfied with my team because we got a point against a very strong French team."
Advocaat pinpointed the introduction of midfielder Seol Ki-hyeon at half-time as the catalyst for South Korea's revival.
"We brought on an extra winger and we were able to attack more, and despite all the quality they have we were able to score and hold on," he said.
A win in their final group game against Switzerland in Hanover on Friday will confirm South Korea's place in the final 16 for the second successive World Cup campaign.
"Results like this will not happen often away from Korea so now it's important to celebrate and tomorrow night we will start thinking about Switzerland.
"We have to take it game by game, we have four points but the last game is the most important one."
