Milosevic won his 100th cap against Argentina |
Serbia and Montenegro captain Savo Milosevic said his side had been beaten by possibly the best team at the World Cup after their 6-0 loss to Argentina. Milosevic told Five Live Sport: "We lost to one of the best, if not the best, side so far. They have good players and as a team look really good.
"They have experienced players who knew in each moment what they had to do.
"We have a lot of inexperienced players and also had a few injured players who were really important for us."
Serbia and Montenegro conceded only one goal during their qualifying campaign for the World Cup, but have been rocked by the loss of key defender Nemanja Vidic.
The Manchester United centre-half has been ruled out by a knee ligament injury.
"We couldn't find a way to organise or defend well, which was one of our strengths," said Milosevic, who won his 100th cap in the game.
Argentina opened the scoring in the 6th minute through Maxi Rodriguez and were 3-0 up by half-time.
Milosevic said: "The first goal was crucial. If you concede a goal a few minutes against a team like Argentina it's very difficult to find a way to win the game.
"We still have one game and we have to play it. It's important for us to be here."
